Wish I had a youth to mentor. I still got a couple years till my boy 7 and 5 will be able to hunt youth weekend. Good luck to all the youths still hunting. Congratulations to the youth hunters that have already scored that prized gobbler. Gobble Gobble Bang.

Just found out in the local newspaper Gander outdoors, will open this summer where the old gander mountain used to be. This is in Plattsburgh ny. Anyone else hear anything about this happening with other gander mountains. Will they still have the same sporting gear and everything or what?

Did homemade chicken noddle soup tonight with leftover chicken. Had onions, celery ,stewed tomatoes, canned tomatoes, salt, pepper, chicken bouillon, bay leaves, and parsley. Still have four quarts left! Sure it'll go fast tho. Great soup weather up here windy and scattered snow flurries and chilly.

I haven't heard anything lately. I'll ask a few local farmers in peru I know and see what they say. I know DEC was taking the matter very seriously. Peru is known for it's apple orchards and cattle farmers then it eases into rolling hilltops and mountainous terrain. I would think once they hit the big woods. They'd be hard to corral like they were hoping.

No pic tonight I made homemade gyros with sirloin steak marinated in spiedies and leftover chicken. Served in a baked pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta cheese. Drizzled with a tasziki sauce.

Yea they're here already. Peru Ny in Clinton county it was confirmed a guy on an orchard or farm killed a big sow and DEC got upset cuz they wanted to live trap them. So now there scattered around Clinton county with a few siteings here and there. The evidence is the destruction they leave behind in farmers fields and anywhere they are.

Is prosciutto and cheese stuffed cherry peppers are my fav. Where'd you get them? I know sam's club it's a seasonal item, but grocery stores there on the olive bar.

BBQ split chicken breast. 77 Cents a LB at market 32. Tried the Budweiser original bbq sauce and the sweet and smoky came as a Christmas gift. Served with chicken rice and cheesy potatoes and sweet maple glazed carrots. Chicken was very moist low and slow as always.

Homemade venison hamburger soup with onions and celery stewed tomatoes and homemade canned tomatoes. Tomato soup and beef bouillion cubes salt and pepper and bay leaves.

Tonight I made venison tenderloins in onions mushrooms peppers and seasonings. Also made venison steaks with wild leeks marinated in Italian dressing picked last year. Served with potato salad and cucumbers and tossed salad.

Well tonight had smoked wild turkey breast. Served with broccoli slaw and cheesy cauliflower and cucumbers on side. Turkey was smoked with apple wood chips and injected with creole butter and enhanced with a spicy dry rub. This is what's left of the turkey. Fantasic.

Anyone ever try Sol? I had it when I visited Tijuana years ago. My buddy told me it was the poor man's corona. It was smooth and refreshing along with a ton of tequila. Anyone know where I can find it or have it shipped to me?

Tonight the wife and I made stuffed pork chops, stuffed with baby spinach, tomatoes, baby Bella mushrooms, onions, and mozzarella cheese. Served with zucchini and tomatoes. Turned out outstanding.

I can bet you they weren't cooked right. I soak in buttermilk overnight. Then I put mine in salt pepper flour and old bay seasoning and deep fry. Also serve with a tonion sauce like they serve with a blooming onion. They taste just like chicken. Always a hit at get togethers.

Cant wait till the middle of june to get me some frog legs. Where'd you get them miller's meat market in Lowville. I bet that meal was great.

Lunch at Clare and Carl's Texas red hot's in Plattsburgh NY. 3 Michigan's and fry and 2 sodas. look this place up if traveling up north it's what were known for. Supper BBQ boneless skinless chicken thighs, asparagus and onions and a tossed salad. No pics.

Tonight venison round roast in the crock pot with onions carrots celery beef bouillon cubes. With leftover baked beans, mashed taters, raisin gravy, broccoli casserole from easter. Pic to follow.

Seen a few toms strutting a few days ago in a flock of like 20 birds. In Clinton County NY. 1 month to go then it's game on.

Last night I made venison chili. 2lbs venison burger, onions, green peppers, celery, can of rotel, 2 cans kidney beans, 1 can black beans, 1 can vegetarian white beans, himilayan salt, pepper, chili seasoning, 2 cans crushed tomatoes. Pic of leftover chili still in glass canning jar coming. Top it with sour cream and mild cheddar cheese and crackers. Leftovers got to love them.
