6. in 2013 I hunted the CT 9/15 opener. I passed up a 3pt in velvet. It was cool to see one in velvet when hunting. I'd be really tempted to break my 2.5+ buck rule to shoot one in velvet this year.
7. I took vacation day for 9/15 CT opener!
8. I stake like every 12-18". Last year I bought cheap bricks/pavers from HD and laid them on top of mesh around
9. Tomatoes up near 6ft now. All have green ones. Might make my first zucchini harvest later today and 3rd round of basil harvest this weekend. Belo get a green mesh fence like this and stake it to the ground. I literally see 3-5 bunnies per day and countless other critters and nothing tried to get in yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
10. If @Chef, who actually went to culinary school never heard of them, they aren't common. I, only heard of them from summers spent in Pulaski and Depew as a kid. They aren't in local SENY grocery stores. Even google says: Salt potatoes are a regional specialty of Syracuse, New York, a.k.a. The Salt City. Salt potatoes date to the 1800s, invented by local salt mine workers who created a simple and inexpensive lunch by boiling small potatoes in brine. The potatoes are still very popular today with the Central New York crowd, making an incredibly easy and delicious side dish.
11. How big was the gator and how close did it come to make you piss yourself in the second pic? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
12. WNy thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
13. This happened in Westchester county maybe 10 years ago or so. They had a map with red dots and you could click the dot and see the names. I remember seeing mine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
14. If 2 kids are both 15 and have sex, that’s rape? That would be news me. I lost my V at 15 and so did probably half my grade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
15. Wow. 170 in NY is insane Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
16. Yup. I had NH, FL and UT years ago. It was 6 hours in some guy’s garage to get all 3. But I let them all expire and didn’t renew since I don’t drive around carrying anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
17. CT was much easier than NY. Take a 4 hour NRA class, get fingerprinted and fill out a 2-page form. Done. Start to finish was a few weeks. Full carry (concealed or open) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
18. I have a blue mister twister. Maybe it’s the salt water version? Anyway, it’s always been fantastic ok lake trout, brown trout etc. I’ve had it like 10 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
19. Mid?!? It’s only been a week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
20. Speaking of mounts, anyone want to buy a 36" Salmon mount? I had it done years ago by https://www.fishwishco.com/ in Pulaski. Cool lady.
21. Even if I went that route I would have to keep the fish and eat it then. A wallhanger doesn't go back into the water. Otherwise it's not an original
22. In years past I used coyote urine once a month around the garden
23. It just doesn't feel right. Even if you measure the girth correctly and get the paint perfect, it would feel weird to me look at a fish on the wall knowing it's swimming around still. If it's a wall-hanger fish caught, just keep it.
24. That could lead 2,3,4 maybe even 20 people having the same exact fish mounted while it swims around getting bigger? What's next- getting shoulder mounts of Bucks we "pass up" 110 yards away with the bow?
