  1. 95 + grain bullet works.. if you in an area where a bear is possible..its a little light. Small hole needs proper shot placement
  2. Still waiting to see a doe... bunch around just dont want to show themselves.. 1.5 year old bucks everywhere....

  6. Good morning! Glad to out this am after a low shot resulted in a tracking session at midnight.. resulting in this odd ball find for my friend.

  8. Stand is 6 lbs. 4 mini ladder are 8.5.. so 15 maybe with shoulder straps.
  9. Well took the mower for a ride at noon and blew all the leaves off severl logging roads to stands make it a lot quieter to walk in to the stands this weekend for the guys.. one guy saw 3 little buck and 2 doe this am ..passed the bucks at 15 yards and 2 at 5 yards...1.5 year olds...
  10. I have loggy bayou hang on lite from 30 years ago added mini ladder few years ago can be up any tree in 10 min... you can ask red.... lol
  11. Need a straight tree no limbs in an area 15 to 20 yards from target spot down wind.... that doenst happen much.. ladders and hangon can go in limbed tree,crooked tree , tree with loose bark..ect ect..
  12. Did the same with different cameras.. amazing what you miss with a cheap camera. And if you do do photos 5 shot bursts at minimum.
  13. Get a good hang on and mini ladders aluminum can have up in a tree in 5 min crooked strait or full of limbs... climbers are way to limiting..
  14. I dont think ill get into selling them for quite awhile. I would guess i have 100 bucks in them if i just charged labor.. idk what larch goes for board ft wise.. but they are fun to make.. and more fun dropping skidding logs and milling them off the property. Maybe when i retire in few years ill make a few for drinking money.... lol
  15. Most planters are larch or cedar as both are highly rot resistant. My other 4 i made for myself last spring worked very well!

  17. After cutting a bunch of larch up a couple of months ago i was asked by the eldest at camp to make his wife some planter boxes. Was so nice today i figured id knock them out. 3x8 x 12in with poles for her hanging tomatoes. All just rough cut larch lumber.

  22. Pretty windy today .. wasnt supposed to be this early oh well .my as well sit in a tree and do nothing 4 weeks off. Doe and bear tag left...
