Raccoon are the biggest problem here, busting up nests .. I run trap for them every fall , not to many yote around as there are several predator hunters in area

Standard is bolts and singles more accurate, lever becoming more popular as many states only allow straight wall cartridges. Semi autos just aren't in with older hunters as ammo is expensive.. ar owners in general are younger and spend money on ammo..

Have over 150 with BOW and GUN as well . Though I do have more with a vehicle than lot of hunters I know..

Most of mine were minor and only.killed immediately 13 deer.. rest ran away so I can't verify they lived or died ,bear was very minor just cracked bumper ( could barely see it) and had to replace fog light

I had 5 different deer hit in 2018 all same car last one was on Christmas eve coming home from work ( very hard to get rental on christmas day).. that insurance dropped me can't imagine why..

I enjoy harvesting wild mushrooms and have inoculated some.logs myself but have decided to team up with a local organic grower and start to raise shiitake mushrooms on logs . I did some tsi on a stand of hard maple resulting in a plethora of poles perfect for making bolts.. should be an interesting process on a much larger scale than I am use to . Looking to do 100 bolts in the next week. Anyone else do hobby mushroom farming?

So the local home depot has outstanding apple and pear trees this year completely Dormant ( they seem to get them down south usually and they are leafed out and get burned every year) 1 in plus trunk , container grown 6 to 7 ft tall limbed trees for 39.95.. picked up a dozen to start a new orchard. Best trees I've seen at that price in years.. I'm thinking they are mis priced as 3 to 4 ft bareroot are that price from most nurseries. Will be checking other local store to see what they have coming in.that is 4ft roll of fence next to them for size comparison

Not hurt and car was still driveable. Be a few weeks with I surance rental . ... one way to keep an older car rust free is body work every other year or so.....lol

Well got my 25th deer with a vehicle since I started driving in 1987... ( I also have one bear with vehicle) The running joke is I've killed more deer with my cars than most hunters have killed with BOW or GUN.. 4700 damage this time.. better start looking at new insurance company again... ( bear was with same company this past nov)
