Did anyone watch the debate last night?
Hunter007 replied to Buckmaster7600's topic in General Chit Chat
Yea really nyc is like it's own state actually it's like it's own country. usa starts outside of its borders. There is this sign you see when you drive into PA that says America starts here . They need to put one of those signs right on the border of NYC -

This is true but many people just starting to get into guns and hunting with not much money , may want a do all gun something for home defense small game big game try some trap or skeet shooting. Or just have a hand me down shotgun from a family member to use . Not to mention depending where you live there are more places open to shotguns then rifles . There are a few places I hunt even though the zone now allows it still only allow shotguns, For example .

Ok he shot the deer but who shot his head off ?

I agree the take most have improved when they made rifles legal in areas that have wide open spaces fields farm land, Where you have lots of chance to take really long shots . Point of this was just to show someone just starting out on a limited budget you dont need to spend a ton of money on lots of gear to get the job done . .

Parking in the park on the side of the road in Adirondacks
Hunter007 replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
Yea I know I was Around Canada lake . There are trails and public land all over it is overwhelming . It's a good time to me just exploring so much public land like that . Even if I did not see anything. I would like to go back anyway . -
I am posting this for new guys just starting out who maybe are on a limited budget and Can not effort a bunch of gear or more then one gun . This Just a good example of what you can do with old fashion site on the side of a tree with a simple smoothbore shotgun and iron sites . No fancy gun stand or scope needed , And still be effective at harvesting deer.

O that I dont know about thought you where talking about the jackets . I never felt the need to use wool pants my legs never get that cold . Only wool socks and jacket I use or the wool blend .
-
Not in issue because my guess is most like me have specific close they use for hunting only .the stuff I use for hunting does not usually get used any other time of the year .
-
No pile on but if I think it is going to rain I either dont go hunting or bring a rain poncho in my pack
-
There both good I have both but to me the stuff from Cabela's seems warmer for its wieght and thickness.
