Good thing we’re all meat hunters here .Sucks for the antler only hunters .All them 150” deer taken this next week with less than adequate implements .and tagged as doe none the less .We should have a contest who can kill the deer with the largest circumference of pedicle .

I once had an old time fur rancher out of Indiana reach out to me and send me a big box full of Magazines on Fur Farming . Although I never got involved with the ranching aspect ,the info about mutations ,genetics are awesome to read about .It was truly a different time then .I was born a tad too late .

Probably their vocalization .I had 13 fox in total.The way they constantly communicate with many different sounds to each other was cool.I know wild k9s do,but to be around it daily was interesting.

At the age of 20,I had a great idea of raising Silver Fox LOL .I took care of them as good as many good dog owners take care of their dogs .I collected urine from them for my own personal use on the Trapline .Urine that was collected was done from November til February.Fox were fed during that time an assortment of meat (beaver,muskrat,ect.)Learned a good bit about fox in general .Granted ,they were more domesticated than Wild .When time warrants ,I may get back into it a bit .Figured some may find it interesting.

Bachelor degree in it but not a biologist .And it’s just my opinion that these one week seasons are not or won’t be detrimental .

What’s your point ,over all ,deer numbers and harvest are up .1800 deer taken on nuisance tags in region 9 ,that’s a good number .More deer now then in the 80s and 90s with less hunters .I Dont think a week of early gun season is detrimental to the herd.I’m looking at the same data the Biologist are looking at .So tell me how I’m exaggerating anything ?

Thanks for the info .If I can tag out here early ,I could always adjust my days .I’ll be trying Public land anyway ,so not super confident with that .
