I’ll be putting in my vacation for 2 weeks in early November for the rut .Too soon ?May grab a PA and OH tag in case I get bored or tag out early here .

I had a Dakota 4x4 trapping truck .200k miles .I believe it was a 5 speed .The thing rusted out before the engine and tranny went unfortunately.Still smooth riding at 200k.

Ill go with and imo,not any worse than the amount of deer that are killed on nuisance tags all summer .Around me ,it’s a lot .Then ,add the roadkills all year too .I see the same deer numbers year after year .Assuming you were talking about deer herd numbers ? I don’t think people realize how many deer are hunted all summer on nuisance tags .at least in WNY.So for the guys who worry about deer pressure ,you’re forgetting the all summer hunt also .Been there,done it .

Reminds me of when I hear people say the fox population must be non existent because they rarely ever see any .Couldnt be further from the truth (at least in this part of NY).

I just watched a video on YouTube on the pro ,they say it has more horsepower and torque than the f-150 hybrid .437hp and 583lb of torque.So a tad less hp than the raptor but 75lb more torque .

Just because you see 5 deer all season ,does not mean they are not there .That logic is flawed .

The DEC doesn’t care if it takes someone 20 weeks to kill a deer,they want to give every chance for more harvest.We’re doing their job . They say things can change in a second ,well I hope this season does for as many as possible. maybe it comes down to guys worried about someone shooting their antlerless trophy buck thinking it was a doe ? Either way ,their tags .Who cares if they fill it 10 weeks ago or next week .

We rented a 60k explorer recently ,it broke down on us and had to get it towed .It was nice to get home and hop back in the yota LOL.

People have many reasons of why they may not have filled a tag yet .Could be work,a death ,who knows really .I’m happy for anyone with a tag that goes out and scores during that time . Some people also don’t have the best hunting spots that have high volumes of deer movement such as farms with food plots scattered throughout. I left a tag specifically in hopes this hunt would happen .It’s something different.

Amazing the amount of reds out there and how they continue to filter in .I tested this last year on one spot on how many I could get .I topped out at 24 reds at one 4acre spot that I trap .No doubt you can probably reach that at home if you went til February.Of course that spot is a great funnel . All claws and feet here also .I have rarely set for coon in the last few years but still pick some up in fox sets .No desire for them LOL .All mine went to tubaris.

Dino ,like last year ,all to the tannery .I’m a bit backed up in tanned furs right now but I’d rather that ,than giving them away for nothing .I’ll take the hit ,but I’ll still own them .

Can a scratched and dinged bed be covered by a spray on ?I would think as long as it’s not too bad ,but I know nothing about that . A guy a work with does side work for a few local dealers painting cars .He said the cars he paints are done as cheap as possible for the dealers and go for good money on the lot .Moral of the story ,I think dealers cover that up pretty easily . Maybe out by him that’s the dealers way to offer less .

Possibly ,but I drove that truck for 4 years and got 2 grand less than what I paid for it .I was content .

I traded my last truck in ,the bed was scratched and beat to shit and they didn’t care one bit .
