    I’m around buckmasters numbers wise shooting turkey with a bow and no blind .I’ve shot more with a bow then gun .And ,I’ve never shot a turkey out of a blind yet .But I’m still trying to figure these birds out as I have not hunted them that long as some of the guys here .I guess I’m unconventional for the most part but I do have some good luck .

    Just had a big Tom strutting in the yard following 2 hens ,Wife loaded up the kids 30 yards away ,didn’t move ,I ran to the truck to get my bow release ,didn’t budge ,sneak on the patio at 40 yards with bow and release ,Turkey gone lol .I usually get one every year in the back yard with the bow .

    I think it depends on the bird at that time .I’ve followed them into a wood line to only be 15 yards from it watching me and killed them with a bow ,Then other times they get spooked at 40 yards for some unknown reason .

    Yet when seasons closed and your hunting deer ,they will circle you ,walk within feet like you’re not even there .

    No turkeys to be seen today .Just the usual covered in ticks .

    My one and only spot I hunt is tough lol,I could pattern and kill them easily if I could hunt the field (a few hedges in it )but I can’t ,I call the from inside the wood line and need them to come in to shoot .This property has 3 different guys who set up the way the property boundary’s are so it’s no easy task .Tom’s at this location have not gobbleed for 3-4 days now .

    Had a text book hunt ,was able to pull a Tom from 8 hens going in the opposite direction ,as my luck goes ,gun malfunction

    When they caught that lady taking pics inside the court room ,it should have been a mis trial right then .All she got was a warning .

    Trapping In general mostly will be a thing of the past within my lifetime I believe .The anti-police movements we are seeing now are as powerful as the anti fur movements,these types of groups seem to be controlling everything.
