We Need Weather Control .....
DTG3k replied to Deerthug's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
We already can. Its called High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. Its in Alaska. There is compelling evidence that the Alaska HAARP facility, and the other HAARP stations around the globe, are more than expensive science experiments set up to innocently explore the ionosphere. HAARP Conspiracy theorists contend that the HAARP antennas are used to aim concentrated high frequency radio waves into the ionosphere to control weather, trigger earthquakes and exert mind control over the population. Disclaimer: I DO NOT believe this crap. Just posting it as a joke. But some people believe it. lol -
According to their website they had an annual meeting this week. And this is right on their website. Seems to say a similiar thing to that link. The Governor did his job and presented the Legislature with his ideas for dealing with a serious problem. What we do not understand is the Legislature’s willful abandonment of the regular legislative process to rush through a very complicated and controversial bill without giving even the members of the Legislature, much less the citizenry, time to analyze and respond to the proposal. Usually passing a law is a long and laborious process, often painfully so, but for a reason. When citizen’s life or liberty is to be affected by a proposed law, those citizens should have the opportunity to make their views known to their legislators. Even obviously meritorious and non-controversial proposals often languish in the Legislature for years because, the legislators say, it is necessary to gather input from all affected parties. As frustrating as that may be for some, out of such a deliberative process often come amendments and improvements to the proposal. Did the Legislature not think that any of the 19.5 million New Yorkers might have something of value to contribute to the debate over solutions to gun violence and the proposals in this legislation? Fortunately, the Governor has shown himself open to working with interested parties to address some of the problems that arose due to the hasty enactment of this law. We will work with the Governor and the Legislature on these problems. The New York State Sheriffs’ Association takes the time to express these concerns now because many other measures on many other topics of importance to law enforcement and to our citizens in general will arise in the coming year. We will be disappointed and alarmed if this steamroller approach to important legislation becomes the norm.

I think you can still sell face to face. Could get some nice money from someone who doesn't mind registering.

They owned up to their mistake. Didn't want to get caught up in the law. A lot of dealers and companies did the same. Glad to see they are rectifying it.

My Mossberg 500 had screw holes for a rail. I bought a rail for 7 dollars online, and installed it under a minute. How old is your gun?

What do you expect from a DemocRAT? -
This is exactly what im trying to figure out too right now. From what im reading, their is nothing barring it. But the stores are a little lost, and will refuse to sell it until it is figured out. As for the question about checking background checks. The ATF does not keep any records of background checks. But by law the dealer had to keep the record and it had to be made available to the ATF if they ever showed up( Bloomberg forced Long Island shops to show them this, and they are now suing). But the new NYS law allows police officers to look at these records.

I saw the article. But the news has no idea what they are talking about when it comes to anything most of the time. Especially when it comes to guns. So i wouldnt take their word on it. Added Note But i should note that different parts of this law take effect at different times. Some are effective immediately. Some 60 days, some 90 days and some a year. But the important "Assault Weapon" one is effective immediately.

DTG3k replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I read the bill several times at work today, and it says the FFL cannot charge more than 10 dollars for doing the background check. But they will still be A-Holes about doing them. lol -
