The tiger i got looked like the op's fish . I have never seen one like Biz fish. Looking on line there's alot of variation in the markings and colors . Some of the fish are almost comic book looking .

I guess I don't know then . At first glance I thought lake trout ... the pattern on the sides seem long . Fish look different from different waters . Dont know exactly where the op fish was taken so guess we might never know for sure. I still say tiger trout as best educated guess.

There's a form that your issuing County sheriff has to fill out now , proving your still in good standing . Made the trip down to Potter County last year only to be turned away for no form . I dont know if its all counties.

Reading up on tiger trout .. apparently it can occur naturally in waters inhabited by brookies and browns . Although they are sterile. Can only occur with a female brown to male brookie. Brown trout milt is to big to fertilize brooktrout eggs. I imagine its possible a stocked fish could have gotten washed into the river system from a stocked pond during a flood .

Dang a tiger trout only place I ever got one of them was PA stocked trout waters .

If they can get the parts 30 to 60 days as per body shop manager. That was a guess as he hasn't worked up an estimate yet . Worst part is not knowing .

What does this story have to do with me hitting a deer? I could have missed the moment I hit the deer had I hit snooze once .... or perhaps had I not went back into the house and kissed the wife before leaving .. or perhaps I had stopped at the yellow light rather than cruise on through before it turned red . I hit a deer with my truck . I'm not lamenting the star alignments .... or cosmic dust storm's effects on time cause and affect.

I guess I'm lucky .. living in Chemung county I have only hit 3 deer in 37 years of driving . 5 years driving delivery truck. I drive 44 miles round trip for the last 24 years . Last one I hit I was on my way bowhunting hit a large doe . Only cracked the license plate frame . Trooper had to get a flash light out and inspect the front of the truck. Found deer hair in the crack. He was having doubts about my story. Deer was nocked down and broke her hip and back legs. I dispatched the doe after being given permission over the phone by the on duty Sargent.

Yup I'm ok .. drove it to the ford garage for estimate... can't even look at it until Monday. I can drive it but the ac condenser is pushed into the radiator and rubbing . Drove to the insurance agents opened a claim ... guess something happened at some point and rental insurance was dropped ... im freaking pissed as other than adding new truck nothing has changed that I agreed to . Waiting for insurance company .. f allstate!

Monday before the body shop can get me estimates sitting here waiting for insurance agent to open .

2.5 year old decent split started. Didnt take pics . Guts ruptured wast even looking at the meat.

Merging on 86 no where to go as I had 2 tractor trailers side by side . Hit buck with my new truck . When I get it back I'm getting a grill guard ... cow catcher.

His first American shad

For a fish on the willow its pretty big .

My nephew is spending the week fishing the Catskill. Do to work I couldn't make the trip . But he is having a good time camping and fly fishing with a friend . Says the fishing has been tough but he is getting some nice ones . Just called me to brag . They are taking a break do to thunder storms and hard rain . Hasn't sent me a pic of the big bow he got this morning . The brown was from a spot I gave him to get away from all the memorial day weekend crowd on the willow. The big bow was from a spot I gave him in the Delaware. He has come a long way from the 12 year old that couldn't sit still while I taught him proportions and techniques for the traditional Catskill fly patterns.

I love rises ... fishing ... not intrest rates or inflation. Wife likes rises... never mind . Rise forms are interesting to study. Brookies have the most aggressive rises then comes the rainbow . Browns are gentleman politely sipping except when they are after caddis that are posting . Love fishing morning spent spinner feeding . Big fish will lay in a seam just under the surface and and gulp. Even if I can't get them to take I make a mental note were the biggest feed and come back at them when they are rising to dunns . They never move far from feeding zones . Except when the biggest are cruising for meat .
