All I hunt with is handgun anymore. I roll my own and cast bullets for my revolvers. Didn't get to pull the trigger with mine this year . I was covered up in deer the week before gun . Gun season opened and only had opportunity at a doe and to yearlings . Did kill with the crossbow .

Wonder if you can get dumbass insurance on a wheeler ....

I am guessing it was just getting light out and light enough for him to see it with the drapes closed . Same thing this morning. Just before 7 am . I can handle that as 7 am is really sleeping in for me . I'm up everyday at 5 for work and earlier for hunting or fishing .

Ok so wife is home from church and turned tv on and cable is back .... damn it . I was enjoying the radio.

Not missing it much . I have been listening to classic rock and oldies station on my stereo. Re reading a good book.

So sometime around noon cable ,phone ,internet went out . Called to report it and got automated response. I now see on my phone that it's pretty widespread . Ny , Maine , New Hampshire. Anybody else out ?

A good friend of mine believed Sullivan county was upstate while growing up in the bronx. His father died in the Korean war . His mother and grandmother use to work summers up in the Fallsburgh area . Jewish resort camps . Think dirty dancing theme. That's where he learned to fly fish . His grandmother and mom eventually saved enough to move to Livingston Manor area. In his 20s he married and moved to Elmira. Spent many hours driving around , listening to Doowop music , while he told story's of what it was like and who lived where .... his favorite fishing holes . I learned a lot from him ... wish he was still here . Me growing up I thought anything north of 90 was upstate and anything south and east of Binghamton was down state .

Picked this up at TU auction for nephew. His mom said he couldn't have it as he had no room for it in his room . It doesnt fit my needs . It would work for a sewing table I guess. It's not heirloom quality . Apparently an amish build . But it's nice apears to be maple . Asking $150 will drive an hour away from elmira area to meet up or drop off. Yes I paid more for it . So let's be reasonable.

What's the going rate on a quart of maple syrup. I usually buy a gallon in quart bottles one for us and one each for the kids .

Ruger missed his vet appt . As they closed early . Not sure what he weighs now but he is long and leggy . All legs and elbows . Looks like a dachshund with a lab head . We slept until 7 am this morning for the first time

Ruger trying to get up the steps yesterday . He only dissapeared in 2 drifts yesterday... he was loving it .

Up early .. drove wife to work from horseheads to schyler hospital then doubled back to corning .... fun times . I get to do it in reverse this afternoon

Back in the early 90s some no hunting or trapping fisher signs popped up on stateland near me . I'm guessing they released them . Every year more of the signs popped up on different state land.

Dannsville place has great reviews. I'm not into college town bars . Those days are over for me .

I dont know much about yotes. I have had them in my yard many times . I have seen them in a group of 5 chase a small doe through my yard. This morning we had a light snow . I had deer tracks acrossed my yard and a pair of " dog tracks " . One stayed on the deer tracks the other came up my walk nosed around my trash can and up my deck steps to my door and back down . The tracks then joined up with the deer tracks . I'm going to call them yotes. I think yote season should be open year round and a target of opportunity . Perhaps I mean no season . Kill them anytime no limit .

Got lucky wife didn't go she had company ... new tennis shoes and casual shoes 2 packs of socks home in one hour ..... I feel like I won the lottery.
