  1. He had to show me his antlers.... just out of the blue jumps up and runs over .
  2. That would be great thank you .. is this chat group open to the public. I haven't found a really active fly fishing board in a while .
  3. My gramps always left the gun in front seat heater on high until gun was warm and dry . Then it was wiped down with a cloth soaked in oil or Ray Hotchkiss gun wax . Then in the case for travel or cabinet at home . I had an old Steven's pump I cased wet and in about 45 minutes ... the drive home it had a film of rust .
  4. That's great ... like that buck .
  5. Not sure what that is ... or how they would make contact with me . But ok. That would be great.
  6. Back early 2000 I took my 17' sylvan 50 hp Johnson out of oak orchard. 2 foot chop .. breeze out of the west Fished for 2 hrs. 4 foot rollers not to bad . When a wave broke over the back I pulled rods and headed for the launch. A few of the waves going in were big enough that my prop was out of the water as we crested. I'm guessing 6 foot plus . No it wasn't a short shaft motor . Never have I been so happy to be on shore in my life . I stick to fingerlakes after that . Seneca can get pretty rough ... frequency of the waves being so short but the troughs not big enough to hide a boat . Lesson learned.
  7. Nice boat ... has everything I would want in a boat except hot babe in a bikini and cold beer . .... no thanks pygmy.... just keep it to yourself ...
  8. This was my grand daughter with Rhemy.. she loved that little girl .
  9. Huh that explains alot ......
  10. 700 yard clover leaf .... that there is some fine shooting .... I'm a pretty fair shot ... even with the best equipment I'm afraid that ship has sailed for me .
  11. Gramps always said ... if you dont have time to do it right the first time how will you find time to fix it a second time . Live by that one . Always hunt with your nose into the wind ... Costs more to fix it than if you take care of it in the first place . A clean machine is easier to fix than a dirty one . Had to erase one .... dont want to offend any ladies...
  12. My grandparents had a small cottage on peach orchar pt . When they were taxed out of it we spent many years camping at Smith park.
  13. Vet visit on monday ... rabies vaccination... he is now 24lbs only time I can get a good picture is when he is sleeping ... when he is awake he is moving a million miles an hour.
  14. Alaska and no hunting .... kind of like going to a strip club wearing a blindfold...
  15. Nice p-shooter...... now you have to work up a load and kill a deer with it . Racksmasher over on handgun hunter bought a Remington r1 last year . You might pick his brain on loads . I have never found a 1911 I can shoot .... the curse of being a lefty.
  16. First ones I ever remember were in a paper tube . That was in the 70s . Then I graduated to the 5000 pack in the milk carton. I use to get the plastic wrapped ones from Bonds fruit stand up on Seneca lake. All they carried and cost more than buying them by 5000. Have to wonder how many bbs I put down the barrel of my daisy red rider and crostmann pump
  17. I break them in travel... I have landed some pretty big fish on them . Last time I found them on sale they were 6 bucks for the 24ul i bought 6 of them . I made small rod tubes for them so no broken rods in a while . Kids can be tuff on equipment... but then smiles make it all worth it .... they never touch my fly rods but i have 3 rods i made for the kids .
  18. Love the ht ice blue rods for pan fish
  19. Huge flock of grackles this afternoon in the creek bottom spilling into cow pasture acrossed the road .
  20. Had the pup out saturday morning .. I heard rwbb... thought the fever had me hallucinating.
