Problem is my club runs archery shoots all summer long . Always the weekends I have off it seems . No guns shooting during archery events .

Let me see ... hunting ... ice fishing ... tying flies...reloading... fly fishing . Wifes nephew wants me to teach him to build fly rods this winter . And I have a lathe that is currently not getting any love . Wife says no more hobbies.

Some day I would like to make a shooting range at my property

I'm using Walker quads older model have had them since 2011. They are bigger than razors but I do get some direction while hunting with a handgun. If the ar twits are there or my buddy is shooting his ported 44 mag I double up with ear plugs.

I slipped crossing a creek yesterday.. back is pretty sore. Was up at 4:30 ... to go . Took my lab Ellie out to go ... deck was already covered in ice . Stayed in today . I have one more sick day so perhaps later this week . Good luck everybody .

My buddy hunts with one.. accurate as hell. I don't like sitting next to him at the range . If I do I have to double hearing protection. Why anybody has to put holes in a perfectly good barrel is beyond me . I do like the grips .

Another sit with no deer . Looks like tag soup. .... While sitting in the stand I found a great recipe on my phone for tag casserole . Looked great but it calls for 2 lbs of ground venison... SOB.

I have been in since 11 am . Nothing except a few squirrels. Not many of them compared to thanksgiving

Not sure what your calling old . My feet swet now . I never had this problem a few years ago. My feet get cold . I have changed my foot wear protocol. Antiperspirant spray . Followed by polypropylene socks . Smartwool socks and boots 2 sizes bigger . Seems to help . Boots go on dryer as soon as I get home . I always have dry socks in my truck and a change of boots for midday change . Seems to help .35 years ago I use to hunt in tennis shoes and my feet never got cold.... then again I never set still . We still hunted and did drives ..

Out for warm up . All snow now wind is picking up . Heard a tree come down up the hill from me. Stand is bouncing pretty good . So bad I have only seen 2 squirrels.

Breezy in the bowl . Not to bad . I have hunted worse. Probably 10 to 15 gusts to 20 . Will ride it out ... deer season rodeo!!!!!

Thoughts on hunting in the morning .... looks like its nasty morning ahead . I will be out for sure but it's been real slow then high winds on top of that . Wife has to work so I have the entire day to hunt . I was thinking about stalking some big brush lots mid day.

I'm a union rep . 400 or so employs. Not only do I have to have a yearly training from the company I also have to for the union. We are trained that if you do anything that is witnessed that makes somebody uncomfortable they have a complaint. And personnel must investigate. Not saying that there has to be punishment but it usually requires a coaching opportunity and have to sit through a required harrassment training video. One example given is if an employee witnessed two coworkers in a friendly hug and the witnessing employee finds it uncomfortable and files a complaint the 2 hugging employees will be investigated. Its a crock of chit but it is the times we live in. I had to represent a heterosexual married woman who was staring off into space . A woman of protected status accused her of staring at her. Made her uncomfortable. What an embarrassing moment for the married woman and all involved. This crap pops up for a month or so after the mandatory training. Personally its out of hand .

While I'm no video IT guy the shot looked low ... no vitals . If that crease in the picture was the shot ... dead deer blood all over. Cant argue with the results.

Needle nose vice grips and finesse...

If your only getting usable sharp with this system something is wrong. This system will make a knife sharp enough to split hairs. Once the first sharpening on the system is done you bevel is set . From there its minor touch up to bring them back to super sharp . I have done everything from an axe to broadheads . To each his own.

You know .... West on 86 is only 4 hrs to Steuben county.... maybe less depending on how you drive .

I'd like some snow down here in 8y... beats the hell out of t shirtb weather we have now . There was a squirrel on a tree limb sunning himself I think he was applying sunscreen....
