well i cut off tip of my left thumb today in a moment of stupidity, and ive got another hunt monday, any idea how i could field dress a deer one handed?

isnt leaving a stand on state land considered abandoned property? and if you take it it's not legally stealing? my understanding is if you leave it on state property you're more or less begging for it to be gone

does the DEC really give permits to those that fill them more than those that dont have as many consistant tag filling?

ive often wondered how many actually reports, i delay it for as long as i can its just a hassle (i still do it in 24 hr timeframe)

3j/3c....sometimes i cross 209 but im on 3c for about 100 yards

sat untill dark didnt see anthing about 15 mins before dark a heard a deer bust my scent weeze and run back into woods

i've only ran into one dec officer while i was at car with deer, he asked why it wasnt tagged already i said "well it's a mix, the ground tears these things off all the time, and the pen i carried into the field with me turned out to be dead. i was filling out tag when he got there deer still on ground not loaded, he said okay and drove away. as far as i see it , you have the tags its filled out before its loaded into car, the dec officers are going to be totally cool with you if you say you're worried about tag getting torn off or anything like that. heck i dont have a pen that will work on these new tags i had to buy a sharpie pen thing

on the berme park road side i didnt see any surefire signs of bucks but ive seen 10-15 does in a day pretty often

headed out in about an hour to get to my blind (a grand total of 400 yards away)

i keep them mostly because i never thought of throwing them away, save for spring turkey ....annndd they're in a drawer cause i never remember to get out

i dont even start to tag it untill its at the car, but the tags on before the deer makes it inside the car

my first deer, i dont have a kill shot full body so ive provided a trail cam picture.

i use a fishing leader that comes in sleaves just pierce ear and tag and go

most of it turned out to be a matter of walking the line of thinking about it before cutting just stop and think before getting nervous and making mistakes

what percentage of your deer ends up in the grinder? now all i have is a grinder i cant make sausage and i cant make jerky or anything like that, but it seems 90-95% of my meat ends up ground
