Trail Camera setup

Assuming you've lost trail cams before to go through all that just to get photos of deer..?

Nice Eddie...I've done that as well...I also do that with some of the broken cameras and film cameras I use to use.....but more in plain sight....just as a deterrent....They cost me $$ and I'm going to get as much use out of them as possible...broken or not...

Like your aerial shots. We use the same. Have a little different system to get up the tree.

I havn't lost a camera yet and don't plan to . I don't have a problem putting a little effort into accomplishing what I want . I enjoy seeing what is out in the woods .As for the ladder , I keep it chained to a tree several feet away .

If someone wants to shimmy 10' up a tree , they win the camera . I am only 70 so I can still carry and climb a ladder .

do you have a tree stand or blind near that path?

I have a treestand about 80 yards down the path . I figured that if the deer could hear the little click / whatever from the camera tripping , I didn't want them looking up near the stand .
