Sheds in the Catskill Mountains

Is it just me or does anyone find it tough to find sheds throughout the mountain/big woods? I walked miles and hours in Catskills Private and Public mountainous land and although I did find a matched set 8 point, first sheds in my life back in late January, I never find them like they do on those damn shows. Guy comes out with a bag full of sheds...

Also walked and walked a ton in the ADK and found 1 chewed up small shed. I need a dog to train

Deer density and terrain. No way we in the Catskills are going to find sheds in big numbers.

There will be some low land agricultural exceptions. In the big woods you will be hard pressed to find many.

to big a area and the mice will eat them up....I found over the years just one or two sets of sheds and that was hunting rabbits in Feb...by the time snow goes off I just do not seem to find them. I did find one right horn under my tree stand one year.

Hunting 17 years,Except bones,Ive found 1 shed in Sullivan County.

I have never found a shed in the woods,been hunting for 30 or so years.

Ive found a total of 4 sheds in the catskills. One nice set and two small 4 point sides. I do a lot of shed hunting from January until April but stick mostly to Long Island.

I've only found one 3 point shed in my 13 years of hunting in Gilboa.
