Best pics of the summer...

Recommended Posts

Man, I'm thinking he needs another year...besides, I want to put my tag on "Big Boy's" rack!!!

Just got in from doing some scouting. I spooked a hen turkey and poults as I made my way to the back cloverfield. She started calling to her kids and a gobbler hammered three times a couple hundred yards away!!! I ended up hanging a camera...hopefully Big Boy will wander by.

Man that deer is awesome. I dont think theres a damn thing wrong with his right side, but Im partial to a non typical myself. I tell you right now, I wold love to see him develop next year, but if he were to walk into range in front of me, Id drop him in a heart beat and never think twice about it.

He would do! Great buck! How old do you know or guess him to be?

He's a three year old. I've been watching him since he was a yearling back in 2010.

Wow I wish I hunted a area I could say he gets a pass!!! Those western leases sound better and better every season... These pics drive me nuts, lol. Looking forward to seeing your #1 on the hit list!

I never said he was getting a pass, I have no control over what happens to this deer or any other on this farm. Steuben County is generally reguarded as one of the better "big buck" counties in the state, it's home of Charles Alsheimer and all that, but...let me tell you there is virtually NO QDM being practiced in these parts. Since I have several years of history with him and he's still such a young deer (with tremendous potential), I would love to see what he would do next year. He's gotta a run the gauntlet called "deer season" first...
