BizCT
I want to buy the S&W Model 60, .357Mag, 2.125" barrel and I can't find it anywhere. No gun dealers seem to have them. They all say they are on back-order, and there is no timetable. Why can't 1 simply be made for me? http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_764932_-1_757767_757751_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y

BizCT
I want a S&W .357mag revolver. Don't want the 4" or 6" bigger barrel models.
Culvercreek hunt club
are you going to CC it or what use? They have some killer ones ..really light in the M&P. it has that scandium metal in them. very very light compared to models like the 60. They hav hammer and hammerless. too
BizCT
I only want a revolver, and I don't like the way the hammerless ones look to be honest. Only other option is the 686 and 686 plus, but im fine with 5 rounds as opposed to 6 or more. Edited August 16, 2012 by Biz-R-OWorld
Marti375
There is a gun shop upstate called "Zacks Sports". Big S&W guys and loads of revolvers in his case wouldn't hurt to call him.
Culvercreek hunt club
LOL. they have M&P revolvers. I thought some had hammers. I might be looking at one for around camp gun the 357's I have in 4" and 6" are a little big for bouncing around camp.

Lawdwaz
The first two cylinders out of that beast will also be the last. No fun to shoot and too heavy to carry. Biz R OWorld........What other handguns do you have? Edited August 16, 2012 by Lawdwaz

BizCT
The Model 60 is only 22 ounces. too heavy? Right. Unless I'm wrong, I thought 22oz is light enough to carry? Basically, on my hip while sitting on the ground, hunting in the middle of nowhere in PA or NY with just a crossbow. Culvercreek hunt club
Doesn't sound too heavy to me. Mine are heavier that that.

Pygmy
A 22 oz. .38 Special is enough of a handful to shoot.. I'm not sure I'd want to shoot a 22 oz. .357 ... How much experience do you have with handguns, young feller ?..

BizCT
I appreciate all the input. What would you all suggest then for a .357mag revolver that doesn't have a long 4-6" barrel?

Culvercreek hunt club
I just don't see the view of it being that hard kicking. The 2" 4 " and 6" I have shot were firm with 357 but not uncomfortable and teh 38's were very easy to shoot...from my experience.
BizCT
Thanks. I am not planning to shoot this gun everyday or anything like that. Just want to familiarize myself with it and carry it on my hip when crossbow hunting in the middle of nowhere, for piece of mind. 95% of the time it will be in a safe in my drawer at home. ants
A little while back I shot a Smith airweight 357. we just had .38 +P's in it and it was more than snotty. Good luck
WNYBuckHunter
If you are carrying a pistol, you should shoot it often. Just sayin.
