Canoe The Canal

Took my wife on a little paddle down the Erie Barge Canal today. Launched the 14' Mad River Fisherman in North Tonawanda at a small boat ramp along witha bunch of other yahoo's.

I'm not sure if you can tell but that is a NYS DEC boat! A couple big azz Honda's pushing it.

Yea I noticed, it was hard to look past them 2 huge motors, thinking how light that boat is makes for a fast and fun ride/job!!

Just ate at Swistons a couple weeks ago. Great place for a Beef on Weck!! and of course a cold pop.

Yea, its been a few years since we have been there. I've never gone by land, only by sea!! (first time via the canoe)

That channel/creek/ditch is aweful narrow for some of those big boats. I don't know where they turn around but that'll take some talent or twin screws!

looked like a great day calm water...sunny day...but those sandwiches were huge!!...you'd have to call a taxi for me after one of those...looked good though...lol
