Has anyone ever used an X-Stand?

I am thinking about getting a lighter climbing stand for when I hunt a few miles from the road. Has anyone ever used an X-Stand? I understand that they are very light, but was wondering how easy they are to climb with.

the chick in the video got me to look then she walked in the door and the video went to crap,.

The stand seat looks like it could be not too very comfortable.It looks light but the platform looks small.

I think a summit with MOLLY pack straps is a good setup.

12 pounds sounds real nice!! Platform is 31 x 21 so pretty good Summit Viper is only 20 x 28 and 3/4 and 21 pounds!!

Anybody use one of these x stands?

I've seen them quite a bit in person. I can say I like the idea, but it's just not the world's greatest stand. It's been around a few years, and if it was that good, they'd be a much bigger company by now.

I am not a big fan of the Lone Wolf just a PITA to pack and unpack as well as uncomfortable my brother and brother in law use them soley because they are light.

Man 12 pounds sounded good!! My API is so comfy and stable but at 26 pounds or more it is a bear!!

I like the idea of it being so light but those cable are like parachutes when carrying it.LOL.They are so wide i could't hunt no thick crap without going nuts from getting hung up on every thing on the way in,

Yes I did buy the X-stand (sit and climb model). It’s not the most comfortable stand I have, but it is the lightest and easiest to set up. It climbs like any other stand, but takes some getting used to. As for the cables being like parachutes when carrying thru thick stuff as arrow nocker mentioned they are. It can be a real PIA. I just take the cables off and put them in my pack.

I would only recommend this stand if you are travelling a few miles or do not have the ability to carry a 20 pound stand. If you’re hunting close to the car, get something more comfortable. But when travelling far distances, this is my favorite stand.

Thanks for the review, might go with Timbertall or Treewalker. My summit & API both wt. about 24-26 #s. My old knees need something a bit lighter now days.

I have a summit viper and load both side bags and front bag w/necessities. I can only imagine how much it weighs, I am interested in a timber tall only for its adjustability when climbing. Anybody have comments on the differences in the 2 stands. Hard to part with 3 bills+ for that 1 feature. I really like the summit but I did notice this year it does get heavy on longer treks.

Have you guys considered a Loc On Windwalker or Lone Wolf Assault with 3 Lone Wolf sticks? Light and a lot more tree options.
