KenAxe-7
Looking to buy a Remington 7600. Prefer 35 Whelen but anything other than a .243 will do.
Lawdwaz
Great guns. I wouldn't want a puny little 243 either. Good luck!

Pygmy
I have had a 35 whelen for years. I am looking to build another one in .338-06. If you have the .35 Whelen, the .338-06 is redundant. The difference between the two ( plus the 9.3 x 62) in performance is not worth talking about. Perhaps you just want another headstamp on your cartridge casings..??.. Just kidding, Ken... A rifle looney can and should get one of each and every chambering he is interested in.. Just BECAUSE....<<grin>>...
ants
I had a carbine in 30-06 years ago. real good rifle. I sold it to a good friend of mine and he has killed a pile of deer with it. I bought a 750 Woodsmaster about five years ago but sold it the same year. Opening day, right off the bat a nice buck came down the trail 40 yrds, or so. Im thinking game over, I put it on his shoulder, squeeze the trigger and CLICK. I don't know if I didn't let the bolt slam home when I loaded it or if I had a bad round. It took everything I had not to hurl that rifle out of the tree.

erussell
Havent had any problems with my woodsmaster 30/06 since I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning. They can be a bit tempermental sometimes but they can really spit out a mag of 06 quick and on target fast.
