Sure does, just not as long as a protectant... it seems to attract grime instead of repel it.

It'll hold you over for a couple days though.

I used to use brake fluid as tire shine when I ran out of Armor All.

Works better as a car wax instead. Makes your car real nice and shiny, like exfoliating skin.

In a pinch you could use tranny fluid to top off the power steering, but i wouldn't use it to totally fill the steering pump. Cars are too specific these days, as far as fluids (other than motor oil) goes. I know that if you put anything other than Honda steering fluid, into a newer model Honda, it will cause big time problems with the system with in a day.

NAPA also has headlight bearing grease on sale till the end of the month.

Even oil is getting a little more specific. My truck needs a specific weight or it can cause issues with the MDS system.
