I can not believe there are no race car fans, I prefer my local track saturday night racing but still enjoy some 200mph racing. Come on guys & gals join in and lets have some fun. Each week you pick the drivers you think will do well on that track on that day, it's that easy.

Bigger fan of the local dirt track or sprint car racing. Hopefully the latest spec for NASCAR will let the guy actually race the cars again.

That said, I did the Richard Petty experience at Charlotte. Did about 170 around track. Quite possible the best $100 I ever spent.

Nascar used to be fun to follow, it honestly sucks now. Dont get me wrong either cause Im not the bench racer waiting for the big wreck. It just gotten so over controlled and is sponsorship driven to the point they own every action of the drivers and they cant be themself anymore. When you take the passion out of the driver you take the passion out of the racing. When every action is being watched and you cant be yourself due to infractions and chance of sponsorship money being lost the fun is gone. My money and time is spent every saturday night watching supermodifieds and other short track local hometown racing where the passion is in your face. Nascar has become in my opinion a sit back and ride till the last 20 laps and then let her rip racing. The only thing they can do to get a leg up is not get caught cheating the rulebooks. Give some room in the rulebooks again, limit the number of disposable race cars they have, let em be racers first and not walking billboards and it would be fun again. If you go watch a 468 ci big block open wheel supermodified race nascar will look like a joke to you buy the end of the day. Thats racing at its best along with alot of other hometown racing including sprints on dirt and asphalt.

Couldn't agree more about hometown saturday night racing, that's where you will find me all summer long. I have been to 2 Nascar races, both were free and also had special comp passes to meet drivers and go behind the wall. That was fun and the best way to see a race, I can't say nascar sucks. But I can't wait till my local track goes green in April.
