Ever had a Trail Cam or Stand Stolen?

I just got off the phone with a friend, he said he had went upstate about a month ago and found his trail camera was stolen and also his ladder stand.  Both were locked to the tree's, so they cut the chains.  Crazy...

i've had worse happen. Well kind of. My stand was taken by a tresspasser who left a posted sign on the tree with his phone number. Things went smooth when I called and informed him of the property lines, but damn if the guy didn't feel like an idiot, it wasn't even his property he was "maintaining". He put the stand back.

Fantail, that sucks.  I guess it happens more then one would think.

We put our stands up just before archery and take them down just before the end of archery to hopefully avoid others from taking them.

I've had both cameras (2) and a stand stolen. You really feel violated when you get there and notice that it is gone. One camera was on private land and that really got me pissed and the other was a mistake on my part, I guess, as I put it on public land....even though it was in August...

I have been lucky .......... so far . My son had a tent blind stolen that was on privete property .

Lost two very expensive tree stands. Now my property is posted and I don't hesitate to have trespassers arrested.

Maybe perm stands are better, they may cost a little more up front to do it right, take a lot of time to put up, but in the long run no one is going to steal a 500+ lb treated tower stand.  Especially if your posts are cemented
