and like it was said before, this is an issue that needs to be addressed with the lawmakers, not the cop on the street trying to do his job.....I would hope everyone would like the police to be able to do the job with the best tools afforded to them, and until this turns into something more than politicians screwing the public by infringing with their rights, lets not misdirect our anger.

You make some good points, but you also strengthen my argument that the people deserve weapons equivalent to what the police have. If not....then the govt. has superior firepower...the bad guys have same...and we citizens are the ones left out-gunned.

of course the law abiding citizens deserve the right to arm themselves and these new laws are screwing them, but I don't see the point in blaming the cops on the street for what's happening as many are doing......I bet most cops wish they could do their job without having to worry about using their guns or having others use guns against them.

that wasn't directed at you..there are some who are holding the cops on the street accountable.....and they didn't reinvent the wheel with this current laws, law enforcement has always had exemptions from certain weapons laws.

If cops on the street enforce unconstitutional laws, then they should be viewed as guilty of derelict of duty....They took an oath to uphold the constitution.

I'm sure your buddy appreciates you sticking up for him every time he gets called out on it...you're a good friend, keep up the good work!! he's a big boy, from what I'e read he has no problem defending his opinions and thoughts, the same as everyone else.

Reading these last bunch of replies by Early and some others has just reminded me that when you get into discussions like these people like him don't even read any replies to his messages. I know he is not stupid, and should be fully capable of grasping the simple points that are being made, so I am assuming that he doesn't even read any responses, but simply makes up in his mind what he wishes they had been. He is just another one of these people that likes to make up mythical content to any replies just to have the ability to argue. Yup! that's right another one-man conversation where he makes up the opposing argument and then comments on it. It's kind of silly isn't it? Well, I guess I've wasted about enough time on that kind of foolishness. It all serves no purpose at all?

I notice once again, that you paint the military in a worse light than law enforcement. Screw you. Raped children? Mowed down innocent people because they snapped? What in the hell do you know about what they went through-you weren't there. You know nothing about what these men and women go through in combat zones.
