is this big?

I just got off the phone with the taxidermist who is doing my mount and he told me the dimensions of the buck I took this past season for the mount. from the eye to the tip of the nose is 7" and the seam of the neck is 17" he was taken border of putnam and westchester county. are these numbers considered big, average, ....???

I've never asked anyone about theirs or measured that on any deer I've killed. That is up to the taxidude to do, IMO.

What did he weigh and how old was he? Those are the numbers that matter to me.

i have mesured a few of mine a good 2 year old is 7 to 7 1/4 my big 8 wich was close to 300 ounds is 7 3/4 and mesured 28 inches around the throat

He is only big until you shoot a bigger one.Enjoy the mount.
