LIHUNT
When is this wind ever going to give up. Sat last night saw four deer. One basket 8pt. But every one was on hight alert because of this wind. They just would not relax.

splitg2bigbro
My brother and I were out Fri, Sat and sun. Wind realy sucks, I didn't see a thing. Got winded last night Gust of wind changed direction. I feel like its last year all over again. Aleast my brother got one on Friday after noon hunt. That was no walk in the park either, soon as hit shoot the doe it starts down pouring looked for that deer for 3 hours never forund her that night. He went back Sat and found her. So not all is bad. Good luck to all.- Tom
cbx46
I would love to get out im a city fireman so i can hunt all day on weekdays when pressure is probaly down but my one experience with LI is that i scouted rocky point in early sept and left there with what had to be 300 ticks on me none bit me but i had to use a lint roller to get them off and shower like crazy later found out they were "larva?" left a real sour taste what do you guys use for tick prevention i would love to get out this last 2 weeks is the hardest part of the wait. ANTLERS
cbx,I use the bug suit from cabelas under my camo.ticks can't penetrate it.When i get home,I put all the camo in a freezer and let it sit for a few days that kills them.
