All I'm saying is what I said in the beginning.  Very few if any would be planting food plots if hunting wasn't somehow involved.  How can this be interpreted by anyone as not being a truthful statement?  I am not condemning anyone here for planting food plots.  Everyone can do what they wish on their land.  Just pointing out something that someone else first brought up in another thread and I happened to wholeheartedly agree with, that is all.

Oh boy.....I messed up on the poll. I said that I don't hunt a food plot, but actually I do have a second parcel of property that has a grasslot in the center that I keep mowed. The deer use it and I do occasionally hunt it. In fact I've gotten deer from it. Come to think of it, I have gotten a deer from my front lawn while I hid behind the barn with the shotgun before. That could be called a food plot too. So on the poll, scratch one "NO" vote.

I can't speak for others But for me----Steve is right. If I didn't hunt I would not be putting in food plots. What ever the other benefits to the deer they provide, my primary concern is draw. If I didn't hunt I wouldn't have the property to plant them on. If I wanted to help wildlife and didn't hunt I would probably just donate to an organization that benefited the wildlife.

I think that's true for just about anybody that gets involved in food plotting. Attract and hold is the name of the game. You never see non-hunters putting plots in.
