Pain in the wallet

Last week my wife comes home and tells me that the brakes on her van, "feel funny" and that the van had a bad smell to it. Apparently this has been going on for two or three weeks but she never mentioned it to me. I go out to check and I can smell the burt brake pads as soon as I opened the door. Back brakes, pads, rotors and calipers totally fried. $750.00. Yesterday Im running around in my truck, trying to get things done before my sons confirmation, when I look down and see that my dash is lit up like a x-mass tree. Service engine soon, anti lock brakes and anti skid. All at the same time!!! Before I get home my anti locks start kicking in every time I stop. LOL!! Im $ure it$ ju$t a loo$e $krew or $omething $imple like that. Right?? Ha...Ha.....ha. Give me a freak'n back...

I have the same luck, My back lights keep burning out and the unit it self is bad and i have changed those i think 3x, just one side. Every so often my windows will go up or down or not work. I have had all my dash lights come on when i have shut the car off and keys are in my hand, lol.

My abs light has come on and my brake light then will come on, i just replaced the Abs sensor or what ever it is and i was good for a few days and now my airbag light is on i am so paranoid i am going to get smashed in my face, thats my luck

I know if you have a wheel bearing going bad on the front of truck (just my experience with Chevy/GMC/Fords), your ABS light will come on, and your abs will kick in. Alot of time it really does it when you are turning really slow in to say a parking spot, the abs kicks in.

Are you sure its not a loose muffler bearing? Those things can cause all kinds of problems.

Id say it could be the canooter valve on the fritz, Ive seen it a hundred times...
