Santamour123
My personal suggestion is, what ever rifle or caliber you choose. Reload or buy some very light loads to prctice with. Let him shoot them and let it be all he knows. Before hunting you take his rifle and resight in with a hotter hunting load. Never tell the difference. He will never know the difference from the two loads when shooting at game!!!

Stretchhunts
I'm going to have him try the Hornady SST in 130gr. I shot the SST's in my 12ga and love the kncok down power. I'll post up his results. I'm going to be a wreck if he gets a deer this year. Been waiting for this a long time. I might sitin oneof our towers with him opening day so I can get a view of him shooting something.
