Fantail
Told myself if I had decent luck to start looking into a camper. It was about 7:00 and primetime was peeked, I litteraly had just sat down for a break after a few short bleets. So this guy creeps out from my left side accrost the plot and starts sniff scouting. Maybe looking for the doe making noise? But he's quartered to me, No shot yet. And If I drew then sitting down I figgured he's bust me. So he took his turn, I'm at full draw with about a 5 second window untill he was back into cover. Zapped him with the same broadhead (resharpened & cleaned of course) from the doe I took opening week. 4pnt buck, not overly huge but healthy & tender. 1 & 3 points so I did some pool cleaning. PSE LightSpeed - Raven - x -weave & Muzzy Phantom MX head. 32 yards. Pic is a tad fuzzy but the temp climbed 10-15 degrees in the next hour my primary concern was the condition of the meat. Interesting thing when I cleaned him up, all his fatty tissue seemed fresh, goopy even. Where the doe fat from the prior week was what you would expect. Btw, broadhead is still in great shape Also including a few pics from camping out, did some ribs in the dutch oven, frackin fantastic damn frackin great set of days to hit the woods I'd have to say. Sunday moring was nippy, tried to burn another tag, did see another doe but she was out of range. Porcupine on the trail, a few grouse, - happy hunting!
