Anyone know of a organization for Disabled/Handicap hunters?

I was at the sportsmans expo in Syracuse a few months back and met a guy who started an organization to help disabled/handicaped people get in the woods and hunt. I lost his business card and can't find anything online about it. I just want to give a helping hand to one of these groups and see what I can do to volunteer for them. If there isn't one out there I would really consider starting one and giving my best to get it going. What do you guys think? My biggest concern would be the liability, and getting land from people or the state to use as I have none sadly.

Our NWFT chapter in the Finger Lakes does turkey hunts in the spring. They are called wheelin sportsman events. Id also look to see if you have a qdma chapter. Worse case google works wonders.

I really like to tackle a issue and start somthing, I started a pretty big non-profit while in highschool and still. I just think if I started a potential non-profit for this is would be a lot of questionable aspects (funding, land, supplies, liability)

Not first hand but a friend of mine was involved in something like that a while back.Next time I see him I will ask him about it.If you start something up I would like to voulenteer also.

Okay, sounds good. I might make some calls around and see how much it would cost to start it. I'm in college and don't have the money yet at this point in my life to shell out to a non-profit. I started one before and it is pretty big now, but the initial start of them is very costly

Check out the Wounded/disabled vet and youth programs for the Greater Rochester Souther Tier branch of the QDMA. we have applications out currently for both programs. as well as a scholorship program.
