RangerClay
You actually pay for them when you buy anything hunting or fishing related. 11% of every purchase goes to the Pittman Robertson Act and that money is used to fund these things. HuntOrBeHunted
Hurry up and get in the class if you still can or you might have to pay. I have a buddy that can't find a class that hasn't already been filled. I heard you can do it online now but idk.
PREDATE
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need to have your hunter safety course certificate before you take the bow course? Or is there a joint class?
noahmstone
They actually have a combo class now where you can take them both at the same time.
HuntOrBeHunted
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need to have your hunter safety course certificate before you take the bow course? Or is there a joint class? No you don't need your gun course first. And yes they do have a class that does both gun and bow.
PREDATE
Yep, you do need both to be able to get bow tags though. Additional Requirements: Hunter Education is required in addition to this course to obtain a bowhunting privilege. It doesn't matter which course is taken first. If you wish to take both at once, DEC offers a convenient Combination Hunter and Bowhunter Education Course.
