Swamp_bucks
So just like many of you my father is who got me into hunting at a young age. Still remember going to his boulder spot with the fallen down tree when I was 7 or 8. Unfortunately the last 9 yrs have been rough on my dad. Never was sick worked 60hrs a week so us kids and mom didn’t have to struggle to being disabled due to a side affect of a medications and surgery. So he hasn’t been able to do the one thing he loved the most and that was hunting. went to the dump with him today and he told me he’s feeling the best he has in years and starting today is going to slowly start walking .5 mile everyday so he can build his strength up so he can make it out to my opening day spot. Told him it’s all his so I’m hoping he stays this healthy. I’ll be packing all the gear in so all he has to worry about is walking in.

IMO, that's the best hunting! Yea he’s never been a tree stand hunter. I have a couple big blow downs already setup for such a scenario for myself just in case the wind gets to bad for me to be in a tree. They will easily fit us both And enough room to bring a buddy heater for him.

He stayed byt he bridge and i went of down the crick a ways a caught a couple of small browns. I come back and he has two big browns with the tails sticking out of the creel and never went a 100 yards. Wont ever forget it.
