growalot
You check your stands before season?...I'm doing so now For repairs...But every single year the night before opener...we get a rip roaring wind storm...it never fails...so I'll hunt a ladder stand in a really big tree then mid day go check all others for damage..of movement.. phade
I look at them in spring before green-up and then a quick walk through in July, early August. From there, I typically won't bother them. Keep in mind, however, these are stands that stay there for long periods of time, as they are in funnels, etc. A good portion of stands are either moved, or let lay dormant based upon buck movements. WNYBuckHunter
I have brand new sets going in this weekend, and next weekend. I shot 2 deer and had a few encounters with mature bucks out of a stand that I hung the weekend before the opener last year. I just hang them, trim lanes and stay out after that until I hunt there. jesse.james
This weekend. I notice my trail cams would have 0 activity for the next 7 to 8 days after I checked them.
