Archery Caliper

I'm not positive but I guess you're looking for a release?  An "archery caliper" might throw prospective sellers off.

Any special kind?  I do know that when I got my first release years ago I tried a few different ones before settling on the Tru Ball release.  I ended up getting a second one just so I had a back up in case of a brainfart...................

Good luck.

Just bought a Tru ball assassin. By far my favorite release I have ever used.

A release is very important to a compound archer. I'd opt for a new one as you can get some decent ones for cheap, and people don't often sell ones they like unless they've been used quite a bit.

Truball and Trufire make great releases for most people. I am a HUGE fan, HUGE fan...of the Spot Hogg Wise Guy. Absolutely worth the investment. I'd rather shoot cheaper arrows and BH as a trade off for a nice release.

Good luck in your search.

hey thanks a lot guys and if anyone is interested in joining the wolf pack pm me! Just met up with a really cool local guy from smithtown last night and started putting together some hunts!

I would buy a new one. I have a trufire but there are plenty of nice releases out there. Try a few and get one in your budget. What is the wolf pack?

It is a hunting club for guys that have tons of friends that have absolutely no interest in hunting!  I am 30 years old but there is no age range for this club we started.  Its basically just a bunch of guys with a passion for hunting.  We plan waterfowl hunts, squirrel, deer, crow etc any and all kinds of hunting. Fishing too!  It is an outdoorsman club for guys that have a passion for the great outdoors.  We all pay outrageous taxes to live here and since it is a shame that most people don't take advantage of our natural surroundings we try and make up for it!  We have a waterfowl hunt at timber point this weekend!  If you are interested in meeting up its totally free.  Just bring some decoys or extra shot and we all chip in to help each other out.  If you don't have anything and still want to come meet up don't sweat it its all for the hunt!!!

Hey Everyone! This is Louis Backlas/ Cross Over the River Outdoors. I just posted a new video to my YouTube channel that I though ya'll might get a kick out of! Have you ever used a decoy to hunt whitetails? If you haven't before you might want to start! I woke up one morning and look out my front window only  to find that my 3D deer target was in pieces all over the front lawn! A fired up buck decided to take his frustrations out on the target!  this took place sometime in November during the peek of the rut. Hope ya'll get a kick out of it!

      Hey All,
New to the forum, already missing the deer season and have curiosity to quell. This was a great non-typical I was chasing all season in a bow-only area of Ithaca. Anyone know or hear of a non-typical of this caliber being killed? I'll be out scouting for him aggressively soon enough. Thanks!

Hello folks. I'm a novice hunter from almost Central NY. I live amongst the cow fields about 20 minutes south of the ADK park. I'm here hoping that I can learn from those who know more than I do. That's probably most of you. LOL. This is my second season and so far I still have all of my tags. I have a rifle but I'm not comfortable shooting it in the area I hunt due to people being near. I'm hoping to fill at least one of my tags before Dec 19.
