DIY Duck/Goose Layout blind idea

Ok here is my idea...

 

 

55 gal drum

 

 

 

 

cut in halve 2 halves bolted together and camo'ed

 

 

 

 

placed in depression in corn field, covered w camo, padded w blankets and a couple pillows w me inside....

 

 

 

good idea? im thinking a plastic 55 gal would be a lot better than steel as in weight and quietness

I have a blind allready set up.... i was just thinking of making a new design of blind...

I think you may find a few draw back to this idea., The 55 gal drum being metal or plastic are going to get very cold on the ground. Also think that it will be heavy and bulky to move, and you make get some echoing from the gun shoots too.

Why not just lay in the hole you dig? put the padding or whatever down and lay right in there, no drum needed,
