Nice deer I saw and heard was taken in Suffolk...anyone hear anything on this one? Looks like a real nice buck. post-3728-13834872485007_thumb.jpg

I left the hunters head half cut. Don't want to offend the hunter if he didn't want to share. Got this in a text and have seen it up on other forums

Personally, when I harvest a deer, I get it back to camp, hang it and then fill the tag. This is on private property pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Is that illegal/wrong?

I'll give the guy benefit of the doubt and say we can't see it

it needs to be filled out immediately upon taking the deer..........

Yes, it is illegal.

 

The tag must be filled out immediately, once the carcass is at your vehicle or camp, it must be attached.
