Deer bag limit???

New to NY deer hunting, found the online syllabus a little confusing.  what is the bag limit for bow rifle and muzzy season?  Special lottery tag required to shoot doe with muzzy and rifle.  Pertaining to 7m

2 bow/muzzle tags.

 

1 antlered/antlerless

1 anterless

 

1 regular season tag

 

can apply for Doe permits 2 + nov1st left overs, 4 total

 

So there you have it.

7 tags possible without going into nusance permits.

Dont you need the lifetime license for bow or muzzle to get the 1 antlerless tag or did they change that? I never got my antlerless tag until I bought my lifetime license si just curious how that works now

The first "special" season you buy get you and either sex tag. The second "special" season you buy get you and entlerless only.

 

so if you buy bow hunting privileges  you get the either sex. Then you buy the ML you get the antlerless only. Or the other way around

IF you get two tags signed over to you, are you still eligible to draw "leftover" dmp tags in November. I'm inclined to assume yes, but I'm not sure.

yup that is how I got to 9 tags.

I thought I only got three. One either or, one reg season and one dmp. I didn't get my second choice.

Now we can really confuse the new guy of NY deer tags on how Regular season gun tag rolls over into late archery /ML season as an either sex tag etc too

At least we don't have to worry about last years regular season being used up in NZ for early bow as an either sex anymore. LOL
