3 and it must be plugged. So it can't hold more then 2 in magazine and 1 in chamber. They will check.

The gun plug exception is NOT during all Canada goose seasons: Only during the September Canada goose season and during the snow goose conservation order season  AND when other waterfowl seasons are not open at the same time. Same for the other relaxed regulations (electronic calls, hunting hours) they do not apply when other seasons are open.

Orion is right. It's 3 and they do check. I hunt a lot out of point lookout and we get checked all the time. They also check to make sure you're shooting steel.

I've been checked 3 times hunting on the south shore.  As others here said, they will check your plug and you better be all steel shot too.
