water Bottles

The cheap disposable water bottles make so much noise on a cold day.  Crunching & popping.   What do you guys use ?

Britta with a foam outter shell. As the ones for beer cans.

I've always used a canteen or (when it's not quite so cold) a camelbak. We don't use the backpack part, just the water bladder with the hose, tucked into my hunting pack.

After I take a few drinks, I crush the bottle down to remove the air. I keep doing that until I'm done drinking it at which point I crush it the rest if the way. Removing the air removes that crackling sound it makes. Ever notice how it doesn't crackle on your walk in?

On real cold days I fill the camel pac up with hot water...strap it to my back over vest /under coat...by the time I'm thirsty it is just warm and takes the chill off while wearing and then drinking as well...keeps my back warm against the cold trees

I use to use the camelbak system but the hose kept freezing up on me one those cold winter days.  Now I use Nalgene bottles.  Better for the environment too.

Plastic Snapple bottle...QUIET, plastic cap, refill with whatever I want...usually ice tea.

Yeah I can't use ours when it's wicked cold out. That's when the canteen comes out.

Only the white stuff. Unless i find some good colored snow near a scrape or rub...then its game on haha!

Yes! The 16 ozs are perfect. Small enough to fit in a water bottle pocket but thicker then traditional plastic water bottles so a lot quieter.
