  Got out for the last few hours didn't see anything with the snow falling but it was good to get out.  Not a great year for putting meat in the freezer but an awesome year hunting as always.  Now it is time to switch gears and go to small game.

It is a hybrid. Reflex deflex takedown Fastback Striker. 50lb @29. My best shooting bow. I used to shoot a martin vision and loved that but wanted something shorter. So I went from a 66 inch bow to a 60 inch bow. Lol. I did see that 6 inches made a difference.

I bet, I have long ass monkey arms so I have to have a longer now. I currently shoot a 1967.5 Fred Bear Super Kodiak that I draw 59@ 30. Someone redid the whole bow and put rattlesnake skin on the limbs and made a beaver tail leather handle. This coming season will be my first debut with it, only have taken it on a hog hunt in FL

  I have a long draw also.  I am almost at 30 inches so I am pulling 51 52lbs with my bow.  I would get some finger pinch if I went much under 60 inches for my bow length.  As it is I have some pretty funky calluses on my shooting fingers.

 

Hunting traditional is very addicting.  I haven't touched a compound in 10 years.  It is so much more fun knowing you have to outsmart the deer by being so much closer.
