LI Sound- Stripers/Fluke

Anyone been out on the sound lately? I am heading out this weekend to do the annual fishing trip and I am excited as ever, just need this short work week to fly by.

It looks like they are just showing up according to the reports, no big ones yet,hitting bunker as usual.

I would check the Hudson river and N.J.reports and see if the big ones are still there.

Im hearing the fluke are really starting to hit. I haven't been out yet this year but i'm hoping for some stripers this weekend.

Buddy of mine posted on face book a couple 27-30 stripers they got out of the sound this week .

Ah I am going out on a Charter Lurking, or personally I would wait.

Overall a pretty good weekend in my eyes: 

 

1 @ 41.5 inches

1@ 40.5 inches

1@ 39 inches

1@ 30 inches

 

5 blues to add too, It was hard fishing but we got the 3 hogs back to back. Overall a success.

We went out of New London, Ct. Spent most of the day on the race but did troll else where. We booked through Marlintini.
