Something for me to whine about ...

Last night the guy I work part time for tried to fax some papers to me . He couldn't get them sent and called my cell phone and said all our Land Line did was ring . Tried out different phones in the house and they are all dead . Called the phone company and told them the problem . They said that there were so many problems that they would get to it somewhere between Today and July 10 . How's that for service . At least the Tele-marketers won't be able to get through !

The phone companies whom still have landlines are trying to switch to all cell and terminate all copper ! Even though the Govt' help install all the copper nationwide (with everybody's  Tax dollar) they still want to disconnect . Copper is too labor intensive - in their mind !

Yesterday the power went out, flush the toilet once and out of water,well pump runs on elec.( thank god for the few gallon jugs of water in the  closet) + cant cook / elec. stove ( fire up the outside barbi.) New cordless phone does not work (new batt. in them) Message said no power to Base Unite.Cell Phone (NO siginal ) live in an area which requires a network extender which runs off of house current.Plug in the Old Phone with the rotary dial and got a hold of the Elec. Co.and the said the power will be back on in a few hours ( which it was).
