Hunting when you are not on the top of the food chain puts it all in a whole different light. Thank goodness  for our opposed digits or we would still be scurrying around under rocks.

Ronnie Krause along with the head PH Johann Calitz are noted to be pretty good shots. Calitz is the one talking about the situation and carrying a double rifle. Really nice guy to talk to, although PH from my recent hunt had some other thoughts that were interesting. LOL 

 

After this, Calitz was stomped big time by a Cape Buffalo on a hunt gone bad. He was tagging along as he was a friend of the hunter but not the PH or outfitter for the hunt. PH couldn't speak english, and the lack of communication screwed the pooch.

 

Took a buff horn, called "getting hooked", right between the femure and quads and tore him open pretty good. Broke him up inside too as I understand with internal injuries.

 

Dangerous game for a reason.

 

Been poking around for Leopard hunt and the PH I have been talking too got his arm gnawed on pretty good recently; on the mend OK and back hunting in a few days.

Crazy. I'd love to get a lion or leopard but the high fences and high prices turn me off
