Hunting Lease rates?

It looks like I'm about to purchase a new hunting property.  I still haven't sold my current land and would like to lease it for the coming season.  Does anyone have any idea about lease rates?  It's 20 acres in Cortland county, surrounded by State Forest.  Has a small cabin on it.

If its just hunting rights I usually see anywhere from 5$ all the way up.8-10$ is a pretty decent price for a land that has a farm on or near it.Are you renting the cabin out also?What state forest is it near?

I suspect that you could get more with the cabin. 20-25 an acre easy.

A friend of mine at work wants to lease it just for hunting.  I was hoping to figure out a fair price.

I would at least try and get what the taxes were bare minimum.

I live in Marathon... just pay attention to whatrs for sale and what not. Try to keep myself educated with what goes on around the area, Snyder hill has a lot of state land... Kinda put two and two together with your name and all...

The leases I've had in ny were $11 an acre
