The cops have no idea where he is.  One day they were surrounding a house on the east end of the search area, while also doing a sweep on the west side.

 

He may not even be in the country anymore by this point.

 

He had two years to plan this.  He probably figured all the angles.  There have been State Police from 3 states helping out, as well as the FBI.  Dogs haven't worked either.

 

I'm sure this much energy and effort wouldn't be expended if this guy shot me, or one of my family.  Imagine how much money has been spent so far.

 

If he killed a regular person, they would've called off the search weeks ago and told the family they will eventually catch him when he slips up out in the world someday.

I am betting he is not even in that area anymore. He planned this, I am sure he had a couple of different escape plans. I just feel sorry for all the hunters and business's that are suffering because of this.
