Using anterless tag for a Buck ?

I know it has been posted on here before . There was a thread about being able to use an anterless tag for a buck in a late season hunt . I looked through the regulations Booklet and didn't see it if it's there . Does anyone recall this and know where in the Regs Booklet that it is printed ? Thanks in advance .

Antlerless tags cannot be used for a buck at anytime. Here is the link to the regulations. Scroll down to tag type and it will tell you the type of tag and what it is valid for.   https://www.dec.ny.gov/things-to-do/hunting/deer-bear/regulations

You can use your regular buck tag in the later season for antlerless..thats all

You could legally use your antlerless tag on one like this:

 

In by just 3/16” on the left side but plenty of room on the right.  It’s tough to judge at long range though, so you need some good binoculars or high magnification on your scope.
