New effort to get Crossbow Bill out of Committee

I've attached the letter from the NYS Crossbow Coalition about bill A2940. We need to make sure the ECO Chair hears our message. Please print and sign your name, and include your mailing address. I included my age, too!

Received the New York Outdoor News today . The date on it is for May 30 . .

Bipartisan Legislation to expand crossbow hunting in Ny is working its way through both the senate and the assembly . If eventually passed , the bill , would allow the potential use of crossbows during any big game season and in any area where longbos are permitted .

Just waiting for the Governor to sign the bill.  If I understand correctly she will have 30 days to sign after it hits her desk.

Political football that been kicking around for years. I don't believe she'll sign it without a certain amount of political leverage. Why go for the field goal, when a touch down is  within reach.

Got a false report the other dat it was signed. I heard it's on her desk. Did you see that news about expaNDING Deer hunting opportunities in NY????? You now don't have to tag you deer unless it goes to a processor or Taxidermist. You must report the deer online withe phone ap upon killing it. Then it can be transported or hung without tag. The other thing is successful Youth hunters can have their tags replaced for regular season. Not such BIG news but good for the youth hunters.

Looks like 26- 27 season . No tag needed if reported within 48 hours. Not reported in that time frame, it's an illegal harvest. Thanks the update
