nyantler
The original argument was a disease. Now it's political, and gone so far away from the OP that you have to re-read the whole thing three times to make sense? Not one thing has been resolved. The dissension in this site is nothing more then foolish. It always "I am right! You are wrong!". Even when real facts have been presented. Are we all still 14 and have to have the bigger dog? usually happens when a certain person is involved... not many threads he posts in that does n't have that reaction
Larry
Four season this is how fast the state can shut you down. I as-um the state checks you deer for diseases. All they have to do is find one of your deer with CWD and they would shut you down and kill every deer you own. So I wouldn't say they can't shut you down and like one guy has said if they want your land they can come and take it. They would pay you what they call fair compensation for your land. DirtTime
I honesty have been pretty respectful of everyone here. I keep reading, and re-reading this thread from start to finish....I just don't see an end to it. Like i asked in the fist place, how in the hell can you blame deer farmers for something they didn't cause? At the same time, I can see the view of others, who I feel never made the real point clear. Most hunters do not want to hunt deer fenced in like cattle. To be forced to do that takes away from a hunters nature to get out and earn the meat. It's a two sided coin, and no matter what, no one is really right or wrong here. So why keep arguing? We are all hunters, so lets act like that! If there is some damn Govt. crap going on, we won't stop it. So get over it and move on........... BTW, I don't think there is. I am just so tired of hunters treating others hunters like crap just because you can't accept a fact. C'mon people, united we stand, divided we fall. Four Season Whitetail's
Four season this is how fast the state can shut you down. I as-um the state checks you deer for diseases. Not anymore..Do some research..Its no longer depopulation..Its now Management and why is that you ask...Its because they have to have an appraiser come in and appraise they value of your deer, Well with todays animals you are talking way up in the thousands apiece. The states are now not wanting to fork out the million dollars per farm average that has been the norm in the past. Heck if that was the case i would welcome it with open arms...Ny state can buy my place for a cool mill and keep the fences up to keep any animals out for years and years to come, while at the same time other states, like Wind Cave are letting the same disease that Ny just paid a million for walk out of their gates into public hunting grounds. I say bring it on! Just an FYI for ya...The farm in Iowa that just sold out for over a million had to have an appraiser come in and price their deer. Well the state of Iowa did not like the total of pennies that guy came up with so the state hired their own...Well the joke was on them because their appraiser came back with a higher value for the animals than the farmers appraiser had on them. Larry
I think you and your lawyer need to read:1NYCRR PART 68. CAPTIVE CERVID HEALTH REQUIREMENTS the herd can be destroyed if deemed necessary. And they don't have to reimburse for your deer. Four Season Whitetail's
I think you and your lawyer need to read: 1NYCRR PART 68. CAPTIVE CERVID HEALTH REQUIREMENTS the herd can be destroyed if deemed necessary. And they don't have to reimburse for your deer. You may want to read up on the USDA indemnity program. You really think after 15 years of whitetails i dont know what my rights and laws are? You can read those same words in every state that has had to pay for every depopulation. Its not state level.
